LUMBERTON — The votes have been counted and the most beautiful babies in Robeson County have been identified, Princess Kaitlyn Miller and Prince Tristan Cole Woodruff.
A total of 11,170 votes were cast in the annual Beautiful Baby Contest held by the Robeson County Partnership for Children, raising more than $12,000 for Exploration Station, an interactive learning museum on North Chestnut Street in downtown Lumberton.
Prince Woodruff, 9 months old, is the son of Brooke and James Woodruff. Princess Miller, 1, is the daughter of Nakisha and Michael Miller.
Each will receive $100, a parade magnet, a trophy and a crown or tiara. Second through sixth place winners also will receive trophies, and the top 12 babies will be featured in the partnership’s 2019 calendar, which will be released in the fall.
“I would like to thank all the parents who registered their babies, for their diligent work raising money and their wonderful spirit,” said Tim Little, the fund development director for the Robeson County Partnership for Children. “I think all parents who called me included how happy they were to be raising money for the Robeson County Partnership for Children and our services. They were a joy to work with.”
The calendar will also feature the following 10 babies, who are listed in alphabetical order: Colton Levi Carter, Kashtynn Carter, Makeely J. Cheek, Talon Mark Dial, Gabriella Jade Jacobs, Brandon Zayne Locklear, Pope Dean Locklear, Rynlee Blake Locklear, Emerson Stone and Lileigh Katina Strickland.
