LUMBERTON — Monday’s meeting of the Robeson County Board of Commissioners could be a short one.
The agenda for the meeting that starts at 6 p.m. and will take place in the county administration building at 701 N. Elm St. in Lumberton includes only three public hearings and a consent agenda. Consent agenda items routinely are approved without discussion.
The public hearings are about two rezoning requests and one request for a Conditional Use permit.
Corey Glover, Wisharts Township, District 7, is requesting that a 0.71-acre tract, more or less, be rezoned from a Residential Agricultural District to a Neighborhood Commercial District to allow for a neighborhood grill.
Velton Hunt, Back Swamp Township, District 3, is requesting that a 4.02-acre tract, more or less, be rezoned from a Heavy Industrial District to a Residential Agricultural District to allow for permitted uses in Residential Agricultural.
The Conditional Use permit request is from Lela Olivy Ruiz-Rosario, Whitehouse Township, District 2. Ruiz-Rosario is requesting a permit to allow the establishment of a family cemetery on a 12.77-acre tract, more or less, in a Residential Agricultural District.
Monday’s Consent Agenda includes Conforming Budget Amendments for Elections, Fleet Operations Center and Social Services. The Consent Agenda also includes two resolutions. One is “Resolution NC Department of Transportation Interstate/295.” The other is “Resolution NC Farm Act.”
