PEMBROKE — St. Pauls wrestler Harry Locklear won three wrestling tournaments in recent weeks, including the heavyweight division at the Lumbee Games on Saturday.
The rising senior won the folkstyle and freestyle tourneys at the Powerade State Games in Greensboro on June 23.
In the folkstyle tourney, he earned a pair of pins to claim the title, and used a technical fall and a forfeit in the freestyle tournament to earn his second medal.
Locklear is coming off a state championships appearance for the Bulldogs. He won the Bulldog Brawl and the 2A Mideast regional title during the high school season. Since then, working with the Freco wrestling club, Locklear won the St. Pauls Super Brawl, the Brawl at the Beach and the USA Wrestling Beach and Belt National Championship.
