LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Republican Party has rescheduled its annual County Convention for March 1.
The rconvention is to take place at the Lumberton Lion’s Club Building located at 1985 Carthage Road. The convention was rescheduled in order to accommodate the schedule of keynote speaker the Rev. C.L. Bryant.
Delegate registration will be 4:30 to 5 p.m. The business session, open to registered Republicans, will be 5 to 6 p.m. Bryant’s keynote address, which is open to the public, starts at 6 p.m.
Bryant is an African-American Baptist minister and a radio and television host featured on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC, and a senior fellow at Freedom Works.
The reverend is author of the 2018 book “A Race to Freedom” and the 2013 political documentary “Runaway Slave.” He is the former president of the NAACP of Garland, Texas, and a member of the Republican Party.
