LUMBERTON — The driver of a moped was killed in an accident early Wednesday morning, but his name was not available in time for today’s newspaper.
According to the state Highway Patrol, the man was driving the vehicle on Holly Swamp Road at N.C. 72 between Lumberton and Pembroke when it was struck by another vehicle just after midnight Tuesday.
