LAURINBURG — Scotland Health Care System has entered an exclusive partnership with The University of North Carolina at Pembroke Athletics Department to be its health-care provider of choice.
Scotland Health Care System will provide needs associated with UNCP’s intercollegiate sports and athletic training programs for their student athletes.
“We are very thankful for Scotland Health Care System and belief in Braves Athletics. I look forward to their work with our students and coaches,” said Dick Christy, UNCP athletic director.
Scotland Health Care will provide a primary care physician to oversee the athletic training and an on-site orthopedic physician to staff home football games to help UNCP athletes and to prevent sports injuries. Scotland Health also will provide annual physicals for student athletes.
