ST. PAULS — Two men have been arrested and charged with shooting an apartment complex building,.
Shamur Purdie, 21, of Mayflower Road in St. Pauls, and Tyrease McCray, 17, of Maple Leaf Drive in St. Pauls, were arrested Thursday for firing shots on the evening of July 10 at a building in Fox Ridge Apartments on McGoogan Street, Police Chief R. Thomas Hagens said Monday. Each man was charged with injury to real property and discharging a firearm in city limits.
“We couldn’t get anyone to come to the courthouse about a charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling,” Hagens said.
A bond of $5,000 was set for each man.
No one was injured in the shooting incident.
