ROWLAND — An argument has led to one mane being shot and another charged with the crime.
Brian Lewis, 29, of South Bond Street in Rowland, was arrested Tuesday in connection to the shooting of Jamison McKinnon, also 29, of South Martin Luther King Street in Rowland, Chief Jon Edwards said.
Lewis is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm in city limits. He was jailed in the Robeson County Detention Center under a $20,000 bond.
McKinnon was shot in the leg about 8 a.m. while on Bond Street, Edwards said. The two men had argued the night before.
“They got together Tuesday morning and started arguing again,” Edwards said. “And he pulled out a gun and shot him.”
The police chief did not know about what the men were arguing.
“They never said,” Edwards said.
