LUMBERTON — A teenager is facing multiple charges after he tried to toss a package over the wall at the Robeson County Detention Center in an apparent failed drug delivery, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.
Instead, Raqueis McKoy 18, of Rice Road, joined the inmates at the jail and is under a $100,000 bond.
According to the statement, sheriff’s Sgt. Alex Monroe, a detective, saw McKoy toss an object over the wall at 8:45 a.m. on Friday. Monroe was able to make the arrest, and McKoy is charged with the following crimes: possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana; providing drugs to an inmate; provide a phone and electronics to an inmate; and providing tobacco, vapor product to an inmate.
Sheriff Kenneth Sealey said in the statement “that this type of conduct will not be tolerated and individuals will be prosecuted.”
