LUMBERTON — The North Carolina Police Benevolent Association has endorsed Matt Scott in the race for District Attorney of Judicial District 16-B, which includes all of Robeson County.
Scott, a Democrat, faces Allan Adams, a Republican, in the Nov. 6 general election.
Randy Byrd, division president of the association that deems itself the largest law enforcement organization in the state, cited Scott’s “impeccable” military service and work as a prosecutor.
“He also has a great working relationship with law enforcement officers and understands the issues they face in keeping our communities safe,” Byrd said.
“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Police Benevolent Association of North Carolina,” Scott said. “The PBA represents thousands of law enforcement officers who serve and protect the citizens of this great state. As the voice of the law enforcement officers, this endorsement by the PBA demonstrates a shared vision of service and justice.”
