LUMBERTON — A Parkton man was jailed Saturday under a $1 million secured bond after lawmen discovered quantities of various drugs during a traffic stop on Interstate 95, according to sheriff’s Maj. Damien McLean.
A statement from McLean said that Marcus Laquan Small, 29, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of marijuana up to a half ounce, maintaining a drug dwelling/vehicle/place, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The statement said that investigators with the Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Enforcement Division stopped a 2012 Nissan driven by Small between Lumberton and Rowland.
